Of several landscaping contractors called, Shannon promptly responded and arranged a timely meeting with the company owner. Our first encounter with Brad was extremely positive. He was wonderfully attentive to detail and prescribed a plan that was appropriate for our backyard. Brad offered a package that was flexible in the event that we changed our mind on certain aspects. The Fall phase of the work was done beautifully and expeditiously. We await Phase 2 in the spring. We’d be amiss not to mention Brad’s crew Johnny, Gavin and Haley. I was recently visited by the city by-law enforcement because of a complaint that my front hedge was overlapping my front sidewalk.The officer was very nice about it but she said I would have to cut them back. The hedge in question is 50 years old. I planted it myself. Under the current circumstances I’m self isolating so this presented a major problem for me. She explained that if I couldn’t cut them myself the city would do it for me and charge me for the job. Thinking this might be the answer, I asked what that would be. She said she figured around $800.00. I panicked and called Brad from Lay of the Land. He returned my call that afternoon and sent his crew to cut the hedge the next afternoon. They not only cut my front hedge but they trimmed my neighbor’s cedar hedge in my back yard. The price was half the cost of the city expectation and they did twice the work. I’d recommend their services to anyone.They do a through job and cleanup and the crew is really professional and friendly.

My two puppies had ruined part of the lawn, my gravel river needed reforming and my small pond needed some stonework and some work around the small waterfall. Gavin, Sean and Josh were amazing, letting me know what they were doing and how they would be doing it , throughout the days. Friendly, courteous, professional, tidied up at the end of the day. They even helped me to carry my large pots from the shed to the patio, going way over the call of duty. Brad checked in daily and was available to both myself and the crew.
